Painted for the recent HSBA exhibition at Parham House & Gardens, these cards are produced from original paintings of David Austin Roses grown in the beautiful rose garden at Parham.
The roses include Rosa ‘David L. Austin’, Rosa ‘Scarborough Fair’ and Rosa ‘Tottering-by-Gently’
Rosa ‘David L. Austin’
This neat, large pink David Austin rose produces cerise blooms with a light to medium fruity fragrance on a bushy, upright plant. It was named for the son of David Austin Senior and the brother of David Austin Junior.
Rosa ‘Scarborough Fair’
A tough, healthy and reliable variety, ‘Scarborough Fair’ is a floriferous, light pink, David Austin semi double rose, with large sprays of a musky Old Rose scent. It is named after the English folk song made popular by Simon and Garfunkel.
Rosa ‘Tottering-by-Gently’
Held in large open sprays on a rounded, branching shrub, this single David Austin rose creates a spectacular display when viewed en masse. The variety is named after the 25th anniversary of Annie Tempest’s classic weekly cartoon, which has featured in Country Life magazine since 1993.
