Summer School

Summer School is a short course offered over a period of two consecutive days in either July or August each year.

Ideally suited for students who are new to botanical drawing and painting or those who have a little experience but would like to improve. The aim of Summer School is to address some of the fundamental skills and techniques for successful botanical art and illustration.

Course content focusses on drawing and painting with precision and accuracy through a series of set exercises, including drawing technique, painting techniques, colour theory, composition and botany. By the end of day two you will have produced a small botanical illustration to take home, where you have practised these basic techniques.

Summer School takes place at Leigh Ann’s home teaching studio at Mannings Heath.
