One day workshops

A selection of themed one day workshops are offered throughout the year at interesting venues. New venues are added periodically.

One day workshops are ideal for students who are looking to try out painting new and different subjects in the plant world that they may not have tried before, and those who are new to botanical illustration who would like to try a ‘taster’ in botanical drawing and painting, or are considering enrolling onto a longer course. All abilities are welcome and your tuition will be tailored to suit your individual ability and pace of learning.

Workshops offer a rich blend of theory and practical sessions, with a strong emphasis on observational drawing and painting. Participants benefit from tutor demonstrations, personalised guidance, and plenty of help and advice throughout the day. An introduction to botany is also included to deepen understanding of plant forms and enhance artistic accuracy. Refreshments are provided throughout, and at selected venues, lunch is also included.
