Botanical Illustration: Winter at Leonardslee – one day workshop at Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens

Suitable for all abilities.

You will be working from a selection of seasonal winter flowers, shrubs and foliage, seedheads, and colourful winter twigs which have been collected from Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens. With an emphasis on producing accurate initial drawings, you will then transfer your chosen drawing to specialist watercolour paper before using watercolours and/or coloured pencils to bring your illustration to life.

The workshop is suitable for all abilities and allows you the opportunity to work at your own pace. With plenty of help and guidance, including demonstrations during the workshop highlighting specific drawing and painting techniques suitable for the art of botanical illustration.

A break for lunch will be taken with afternoon tea (scones with cream and jam, a sandwich, a slice of cake and a tea or coffee per person).
