FERNS IN GRAPHITE AND WATERCOLOUR
Suitable for all abilities
Ferns are one of the oldest group of plants in the plant kingdom and make fascinating subjects for study. Combine both drawing and painting to make detailed studies whilst at the same time, learning some botany about them.

This is a wonderful opportunity to explore and study nature’s harvest here at the Museum. Discover the beautiful colours, patterns and textures of a variety of autumn leaves, berries, seed pods, hips and haws on this fascinating one day course. Enjoy creating realistic botanical illustrations by drawing and painting them with precision and accuracy with plenty of help and guidance from your tutor. This course is suitable for all abilities and allows you the opportunity to work at your own pace.

BIG DRAW BOTANICAL ART WORKSHOP

Join Leigh Ann to find out more about botanical drawing and learn techniques with the heritage orchard being the subject. This event is part of the international Big Draw.

Founded in 2000, The Big Draw (formally The Campaign for Drawing) is an arts education charity that promotes visual literacy and the universal language of drawing as a tool for learning, expression and invention.

The charity leads a diversified programme encompassing advocacy, empowerment and engagement, and is the driving force behind the The Big Draw Festival – the world’s biggest celebration of drawing.
